1. The first 15 questions are good questions. I don't follow this technology, and don't really have much opinion on this. I think it would be cool technology, but I'd be wary of getting in a car that can supposedly go wherever for who knows what reason.
2. But the 16th question is why I posted this. Can a question be whether someone has answers to all these questions? That's like me calling up a supplier and asking what the lead time for an item is, and then asking if he has an answer for my first question.
I think 15 is where this starts with certain luxury cars. There will be a driverless mode on the highway and work its way to anywhere and then become cheap enough for all cars. Isn't Tesla supposed to be months away from driverless mode on highways and a pick me up option for parking lots?
I'm not an expert on the technology, but it seems like the biggest safely hazard will be the cars with human drivers road raging on the driverless cars. As to all the questions about night, fog, weather, etc I think the tech that makes the driverless cars work will be better than humans. They will likely be based on radar and non visual light cameras that make it able to see in any of those circumstances better than a human with 2 beams of light in front of them. The computer will also not get distracted by talking on the phone, texting, eating, or any of the million other things we aren't supposed to be doing in cars.
To me this list seems like it was put together by someone that is afraid of change or getting their steering wheel taken out of their hands. I have one question to ask. Would you rather be sharing the road with an 80 year old grandma that can't see or react and should have lost her license years ago if not for fear of the AARP or a car controlled by Google?

FTFY, much more accurate in my experience. I bet people are/would be more pissed off about not being able to (easily) speed than anything else that driverless cars can change.
