Cool thing happened at work today thread....

just had a staff meeting and mgmt announced that they have decided to help offset gas prices by calculating the difference in gas prices since 2005 and current and using those number with an average MPG rating and the distance you drive.

gas prices have been a big deal for me since i drive from youngstown to akron everyday so this is HUGE for me

My college/place of employment is increasing their payment for taking public transportation (it's currently 50%), and anyone who doesn't currently have monthly passes can take the subway for free in September. Pretty cool. I hope people take advantage of it.

Played in a charity golf outing with my boss today. Won a couple dozen balls, had a great dinner and spent the afternoon enjoying a beautiful sunny day...all while getting paid to be at work. Beats the shit out of the office.

Had to go with the boss to another golf outing today. We came in second for low net and got $100 each at the pro shop.

That's the last one of the year, though. Back to the office...
