Coming Soon (New Movies)

In no particular order

Watchmen- will be different. although the absence of a huge freaking squid will suck.

Terminator- will either be awesome or really suck. (Christian Bales presence pushes it towards awesome)

The Road- It's Cormac McCarthy. What could go wrong?

Star Trek- Abrams does a good job with just about anything.

Arrested Development- Do I need a reason?

Avatar- Cameron thinks it will be his best.

Is this a legitimate superhero tale & set of characters? Because the ad reminded me of the early days when non-Pixar companies would fail miserably at CGI animated flicks.

The Graphic Novel it was based off of is one of the most acclaimed ever. In end up in one of Times list for best books of the century.

Viggo mortensen is set to star in it and I think I read Cherlize Theron may be in it as the wife which means the role must have been expanded from the book. But she’s my favorite actress since Monster. Checking IMBD she is and some of the Photos of look frightening can't wait. The way McCarthy paints scenery in his books is amazing and looking at some picks of where they shot the film on the abandoned Pennsylvanian turn pike looks just as I imagined. Oh yea, also starring Omar the Terror!! Can't [censored]ing wait?

I expect to catch shit, but I don't care. I loved the "Witch Mountain" movies as a kid...and I'll eventually watch this one too.

Gawd... I was watching the commercial right when the kid zips out of the taxi I said to my wife... "Don't tell me they are remaking Witch Mountain???" My wife of course gives me a blank look wondering WTF? And she just laughs when I was right.

No [censored]ing way. Pause that video at about 2:31. That's what I think Storm Shadow will look like...especially given the pic of Snake Eyes that was leaked.

[censored]. Let this be a joke. Please.

Did you see the preview last night...sure looks like ol' Storm Shadow is now an anorexic pilates instructor...I still hope that is not what the final product is going to look like...I will be supremely pissed off.

directed by the guy who did heat and collateral - michael mann. it has christian bale and johnny depp. pretty much enough for me to be excited.

it's a crime film set in the 30s about feds trying to take down crime bosses

michael mann is the greatest crime dude aside from scorsese and not counting miami vice
It is a John Dillinger biopic, to be precise.
I have mixed feelings on Miami Vice-phenomenal mood/cinematography-I wish they had more action near/at Iguazu Falls, but Colin Ferrell didn't do it as Crockett, and Jaime Foxx just sleepwalked as Tubbs. The two main villains/crimebosses were excellent.

I wasn't a fan of Miami Vice the first time I saw it.. but Mann is excellent with cinematography and setting moods. Heat and Collateral are both perfect examples. There are some amazing shots in Collateral..
