Coming from Toronto Canada for my first Buckeyes game against Wisconsin

Hi fellow buckeyes, my friend and I are coming to Columbus for the first time and will be seeing the Wisconsin game and will be staying at the Holiday Fairgrounds hotel.

Can everyone throw us things we need to do and should do in order to have a true OSU experience.

We will be driving Saturday morning from Toronto Canada as it is an 8pm game and I am thinking ESPN Gameday will not be stopping by.

Should arrive into Columbus around 3pm.

Look forward to your responses!!

PS - we are in our 30's.
 
I feel the best part of the experience of game day is walking up those final step and seeing the glorious field spread out in front of you to behold, it's just as special the 30th time as it was the first.

ps. make sure you are in your seats(at least in front of them) for the ramp entrance!!

Recommend coming in on Friday as well. No rush, enjoy the drive, have a good evening here and a good sleep, wake up, get to the stadium and soak up the game day atmosphere, go to Thurman's for a great hamburger (not the Thurmanator though as it is too greasy and weigh you down all day.), come back and be ready for the best show in town!

Glad that you'll get your first game day experience at Ohio Stadium. I went to my first one back in 2008 against Minnesota to see Beanie Wells and Terrelle Pryor's first game together. I would suggest to do the same about coming in on Friday to avoid all of the traffic. Gave me and my wife some opportunities to tour the campus and hit up Varsity Club for some great food and atmosphere. The band practices on a field close to the tennis courts (if I remember right) on Friday as well and that's something cool to do!

Checkout the tailgate parties on Lane Avenue. Riverwatch Towers and Varsity Club. Music, beer, food, people watching, early football games shown on big screen TV's. I believe 610 WTVN still does their radio broadcast at the Riverwatch Towers tailgate, but that can change from year to year. Check out Schmidt's food cart (They have a restaurant in German Village) at the Varsity Club tailgate for a Bahama Mama, Bratwurst, and/or famous cream puffs.

Maybe someone can help with this: Where and when do you stand to see the team and band walk from St. Johns Arena to the stadium? I have caught it just by dumb chance in the past, but never had a plan. Our friend from the Great White North might enjoy that as well.
