Columbus Crew SC (2008, 2020, 2023 MLS Champions)

Columbus will face Real Salt Lake in the first round of the playoffs. The first leg, in Salt Lake, will likely be Saturday night on FSC.

I must say, I can't even see this team getting out of the first round. Our offense is anemic. You're not going to win a series on aggregate if you can't score goals.

Unless you're planning on buying a ticket package next year, I'd only invest in tickets to our first round game, not the 2-game pack.

Looks like you were right, as the Crew are 15 minutes and a miracle comeback away from being eliminated in the first round.

Right about the results, but not about the way it would go down. The goals and chances have been there tonight. The defense was awful and the ref screwed them over on several occasions.

He said they would lose in the first round. The subjective analysis as to why is secondary.

Reminds me of the 1993 Penguins in the NHL. Defending champs, President's Cup winner, but lost early in the playoffs. Fail.

Went to the game today.....show some support for the crew (it was really cold!). That penalty call happened right close to where I was sitting.....I am sorry but there was minimal contact. The ref didn't have a good angle on it and got suckered into calling a penalty. That was the big game changer right there! Hedjuk was unlucky....but he was to blame for lax defending on the first one. Its sad that we're out of th MLS Cup.....but that BS penalty call right before the half decided the game.

Unfortunately, as I expected the Crew made a quick exit from the playoffs. They put on a show for the fans, at least. I was at the game, very cold, lots of anger, to say the least.

The ref did a terrible job, but I think that if you concede 3 goals in the home leg, you need to point the finger at someone other than just the ref.

This just wasn't our year... things did not come together at the right time. It should be an interesting offseason, to say the least. Frankie's getting up there. Does Schelotto have another year in him? Will Marshall stay? Can we find an answer to our CM problem and the fact that our wing play was completely uninspired this year? We shall see.

Anyway, it was a fun year and a nice run, though disappointing. I can't wait until next year.
