It's deadline day - CBJ should stand pat.

Even if they don't make the playoffs (likely at this point), they've made a hell of a run with AHL and sub-AHL level guys. The future is bright. Jarmo was clearly right when he said he liked where they were in terms of organizational depth (and everyone criticized him for it).

Clearly Seth Jones is a center piece to the whole thing - the CBJ's Lidstrom. They need to lock him up long term. The rest of this year will be the time to figure out who is going to be the alpha in goal between Korpi and Elvis.

Leads the league at -45 this year....of course, the Wings have the 4 worst +/- ratings and the following:

5 of the worst 6
7 of the worst 9
9 of the worst 13
10 of the worst 17
11 of the worst 20
12 of the worst 23

Every time I tried to cut it off, I saw another "DET" further down the list. :slappy:

Detroit's main issue is their defense is awful. I mean really awful. Like historically awful. Gone are the days of Lidstrom and prime Kronwall, Mathieu Schnider, etc. They'd struggle to stop AHL teams on most nights.

in the end it didn't matter - AA went to Edmonton for 2 2nd rounders. That's far too much for what he'd bring to the CBJ.
