CBJ look pretty good so far given what they're missing. Johansen looks strong on the puck which is a good thing since he missed all of camp.

Thoughts on Jody Shelley's first game as analyst?

Took some getting used to for me, since I'm used to Davidge.

Throughout the game, I kept thinking of the scratches and the potential (when they return).

Wenneberg looks really good as does Marko. Should be interesting to see how much they get to play later on when the regulars get back.

Really, really young -- but I think a 6-7-8 seed would not be an unreasonable expectation. If they get & stay healthy and/or Bobrovsky goes crazy like he did a couple years ago, I wouldn't rule out 4-5 even, but I would be surprised. If the injuries keep going the way they are right now....who knows.

FTR, I fully expect them to fall flat on their faces and only get up to their knees long enough to be teabagged by Pittsburgh 6 times.

They're the 2nd best team in the Metro if they are playing well. Philly is a mess as I said. I think they were about even with the NYR last year, and Columbus improved this off-season whereas the NYR did not.

I think we're gonna see this team play really well for stretches and look absolutely clueless at times too.
