Which one of the 3. Fairgrounds, Airport, or way out east. If you are staying at the one by the fairgrounds you may want to catch a cab over to Rooster's on either Olentangy or Henderson Rd. BW-3 has a few places around campus but those will be extremely busy. One is on High St. just off campus, another is on Bethel Rd North of Campus by about 5- 8 miles, Frog Bear wild Boar is a bar that has a number of TV's and that is where my friends and I watched the Fiesta Bowl. Also on Bethel Rd is the Winking Lizard and they have tons of TV's and they have like 20 Direct TV recievers so might be the best place to catch the most games.
Fairgrounds I would guess. On Clara St. (?), the one only a few miles from the stadium.

honestly on game days in columbus you can't go anywhere that won't be packed with people watching the buckeyes. it just comes down to what crowd you want to be around. college crowd or the more mild off campus (aka non drunk tailgaiting students and alumni) crowd. btw? why do you want to go to a bar? you can probably scalp tickets for 50 bucks. games before the big ten season are always cheap and easy to get in to.
I will be at the game and tailgating with my little red Huskie Bus prior to the game. I am looking for a place for Friday and Sat. night.

BTW, how long before the game can you tailgate?

my area of expertise....

On Fred Taylor Drive, there is an RV lot on the west side of the street, just north of the Jesse Owens Memorial Track/Bill Davis Stadium. this lot opens on Friday night for RV's/Buses and you can tailgate there into Saturday Morning.

5am Saturday, the main RV lot opens. This is the huge blacktop lot for the Bill Davis Stadium/Jesse Owens track/VCA. It will be chained off until 5am gameday. That's when I'll start letting people in.

Tailgate away til Sunday morning.

Thanks, how much do these lots cost, and is the first one a grass lot?

What does everyone think about the Ugly Tuna Saloona? Thanks again guys.

Kind of a chotch bar, but all of the Gateway bars are anyway. Goofy shit on the walls, corny motif in general, and yes--horrific bathroom situation. If you actually want to just sit somewhere, drink, and watch the game, I recommend Woody's on Olentangy next to University Village. It's generally free of campus-area assheads, the prices are good, and it's small enough that you're not going to have a twelve minute wait every time you need a refill. Brazenhead (West 5th Ave.) is a nice spot as well, and is good both during and after the game.
