Cliff.. now there is a guy worth mentioning, anyone who has balls enough to wear your brothers band pin on the lapel of your coat is aokay in my book.. LOL... Definitely lots of musical talents too.

Ditto. Great show in any venue, and generally good guys offstage too (though Mullins could be a real prick).

Steve has an ego that doesn't fit in most establishments... I guess that is why I find it so funny regarding what BKB's dad said about him... good guitar player just needs to check his ego every so often.

Forget about the bands. Who was your favorite music writer?

Does anyone perhaps remember a writer from Columbus, he happened to be quite dashing, who wrote for Moo, among other publications? This particular writer you will likely remember as he had such a wry wit. In fact he was quite the hit with the ladies, and he was so clever in his word-wrangling that he merited a fan club of his own. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Anyone?

John Petric (Other Paper)

First time I've seen "craptastic" in print. (If I remember correctly, he was describing a John Mayer concert where thousands of "bleating" sorority girls were in attendance.) :p

I played back then and knew Bobby Gene pretty well and the other guys on sight. I just did a Google search and saw how bad their luck had been. Never would have guessed that BG had it in him to shoot his woman and himself. He was a very peaceful guy back in the 70s and not too full of himself, for a "Columbus legend".

They should have ditched the country rock thing and gone rock. They had the talent to really do that. Back in those days, Efaw was quite carried away with flamenco guitar and I thought, geez, if I could play like him I sure as hell wouldn't be doing that.

Well, I suppose they look happy enough and good luck to them, but when I left the US in 1980 I really thought these guys were going to nail it.
