Ga Tech beat a pre season top 10 FSU this year. We all saw how good FSU really was. Its a win against a "top 10" team though if you want to make it one.

I'd say only the final end of the season rankings should ever count but yea you've got multiple polls and all the metric crap that some people love too.

Even then the whole tone of the season is set to start by preseason polls based off nothing but prior year success, which means even less now with the portal and what not and assumptions.

One of those things is not like the other. Hunter deserves to have his number retired as an all-time great in the game. Shadeur, maybe in ten years for that program for his role digging them out of the grave if the program manages to sustain success.

FWIW, by brother-in-law, who's no insider but follows the program much more closely than I ever would, says they're not interested in Iamaleva either.

I love playing football so much that if I’m not playing both ways I’m never playing again is hilarious to me
