Colorado Buffaloes (official thread)

Gage Goldberg, son of former WWE star, commits to Colorado

Gage Goldberg, the son of former WWE star wrestler Bill Goldberg, committed to play football at Colorado.

The younger Goldberg is a 6-foot, 215-pound linebacker from Boerne, Texas, who was initially committed to Alabama as a preferred walk-on. He would've had a spot on the team, but he would not have been on scholarship.

Once Nick Saban announced his retirement, however, Gage Goldberg flipped his commitment to Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders, and will walk on for the Buffs in 2024.

I understand going to Bama as a preferred walk-on, but for CU... gonna need that scholarship.
I guess his family is well off though, probably doesn't need any help.

I don't know what kind of goals Sanders had for the first year, but his recruiting power is immense, Thinking you could gather a class of talent much higher than previous years was one thing, turning that into a bowl/championship/winning team in one season was another. Let's see where he is in season three. Too bad he won't have a PAC 12 schedule.

I don't know if his recruiting power is all that immense, 91st ranked class. I think a lot of kids are turned off by the circus atmosphere and the idea that it's the Sanders Brothers Show, and they're just being brought in as supporting cast. And if he doesn't start winning this year, I can see the wheels really coming off.
