Colorado Buffaloes (official thread)

I don't know what possessed me to dvr this game, but I am glad I did. The last half of the 4th quarter was pretty entertaining. When the Buffs were down 10, the QB got drilled by a blitzing linebacker and had to sit out a play. On that play the hb goes about 80 for a TD around the right end! Typical Texas Tech, errrr, Wash St D.

Since CU gave up 70 today -- albeit to Oregon -- I don't know what one more season is going to prove under Embree.

The team is extremely young, but one more year at say, 6-6, you're going to make a move anyways.

But CU's alternatives are seriously like Petrino, Chad Morris, Butch Jones or the like.

Maybe the Buffs should play Auburn?

Gene Chizik's proficiency from his Iowa State days has bubbled to the surface now that the players he inherited, and the Heisman QB his alumni purchased, are gone.

No one will hire him, but would a school really do worse than Glen Mason?

If you're CU, I'd shy away from hiring a coach without head coaching experience, since Embree didn't have HC experience.

Also, this would be Mike Bohn's third attempt to hire a head football coach. Hawkins and Embree both didn't work out.

20 years ago, CU was a power program. For a solid decade, they were regulars in the Top-10, on national television, and major bowl games. Now they're quite possibly the worst program in FBS. I can't imagine who would want that job.

They should follow KSU's lead and put out feelers to Bill McCartney.
