Colonoscopy 2.0 and skirts

I’m diabetic (Type 2). I’ve been eating a keto friendly diet for a year and a half. Mostly carnivore but I do mix in low carb products. I found a ‘keto’ bread that doesn’t bump my sugar. Brand is called Sola. I find it in specialty breads aisle at Meijer. 8g of fiber per slice. One sandwich is 16g. It’s a little dense but when you live a life without breads it tastes just fine.

Also type 2. good to know, will see if it's out here in Cali. Have been limited to wheat bread with kernals in it. Splurge is wife's sourdough toast with some butter slathered on it. Gotta stay from 'white' stuff. Bread, pasta, rice, noodles, all are brown. Lower hypo-glycemics don't you know. I also wear a Dexcom, which measures sugar levels, through lymphatic system, rather than blood. Cannot cheat, as it measures when you ingest that piece of cherry pie, rather than not testing for a couple of hours. Keep up the good work H&G! And exercise, exercise, exercise.

I wear the freestyle libre 3 sensor. That’s how I know what lower carb products do to me. Sola was way less impact (virtually zero) on me than other low carb breads like Aunt Millie’s or Brownberry.
My A1C dropped from 10.1 to 5.9 in six months. And I never experienced a single low reading. Current 90 day average is 95

Wow! 10.1 => 5.9 is HUGE. Keep it up. Kinda hate, and kinda love, the constant monitoring. I get low alarms all the time. Started pricking my finger each time got them, and found that the blood sugars were about 30 points above the Dexcom readings. So, don't get too rattled. Brought it up to my endo, as well as my nurse 'minder', and both kinda shrugged. PS, on another note, when machine reads one A1C, the blood number shows about .3-.4 lower. (I track it). Keep doing what you're doing, it's an insidious disease, and will eventually kill me, but not without a fight. Consuming protein is very important, we eat so much chicken, I could cluck. Doctor's goal is for me to be 70% 'in the zone', but am averaging around 84-87% there. Anyway, sounds like I'm bragging a bit, and might be so, but also we gotta celebrate our victories, no? PS, don't miss the constant finger pricking at all.....
