JUST KEEP WINNING. Computers believe Ohio State will reach the College Football Playoff in 2023. Humans do not. As the Buckeyes enter their off week undefeated, two of five national college football outlets have predicted the Men in the Scarlet and Gray will compete for a national championship in December and January.
  • Action Network: Ohio State vs. Florida State in the Rose Bowl, CFP semifinal
  • Athlon Sports: Ohio State vs. North Carolina in the Orange Bowl
  • CBS Sports: Ohio State vs. North Carolina in the Orange Bowl
  • ESPN: Kyle Bonagura, Ohio State vs. Florida State in the Orange Bowl; Mark Schlabach, Ohio State vs. Florida State in the Orange Bowl
  • 247Sports: Ohio State vs. Florida State in the Rose Bowl, CFP semifinal
Looks like we should prepare for the Buckeyes to face the Seminoles or the Tar Heels.

The "experts" from Athlon Sports, CBS Sports and ESPN do not believe in Ohio State. However, all the Buckeyes must do is win, win, win and they will make the CFP. According to the Allstate Playoff Predictor, Ohio State should be able to do that over the next nine weeks.

Sources: CFP eyes Air Force's Richard M. Clark to be boss

200923-F-XX999-9999.JPG

Air Force Academy superintendent Richard M. Clark has emerged as the top target to become the next College Football Playoff executive director, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Clark is a former star linebacker at Air Force who went on to a distinguished career in the military that saw him rise to the level of lieutenant general.

Sources told ESPN he impressed the College Football Playoff brass with his deep history of leadership, as he's described as having a strong history as a "leader of leaders." He emerged from a pool of three finalists who interviewed in person this week.
Yahoo first reported the CFP's interest in hiring Clark.

Clark's assignments prior to taking over as the superintendent at the Air Force included commanding bases around the country, working as a White House fellow and working as a senior defense official in Egypt. His assignment prior to taking over at Air Force was deputy chief of staff for strategic deterrence and nuclear integration at the Pentagon.

As if college football couldn't get any softer, they go and hire an Air Force guy? What next, a Space Force E-4 in charge of March Madness?

Ill take that spaceship door gunner every day over some useless political "pander to the vets with a dude that will be a lobbyist before 2030"

If you're gonna pander to us, at least get somebody that knows the LCPL underground.

ON THE DEBATE BETWEEN OHIO STATE AND MICHIGAN:

CORRIGAN: Yeah, again, looking at Ohio State, the wins over Penn State that they now share with Michigan. Ohio State has got the win over Notre Dame, 5-0 against teams with winning records, top 5 defense. Their offense, to your point, put up 38 last week, and Michigan continues to come along and continues to be dominant in the games that they've played. As (we) go through it each week, we continue to look at everything, and after Week 11 we ended up with Ohio State at 2 and Michigan at 3.
