Yes, Rutgers really delivers NYC...

But it now is Big Ten and things have immediately changed
Penn State - largest crowd in Rutgers history
scUM - game is already a sell out
the entire demographics will change.. in short order
How excited can the TriState market get when you're playing Louisville, Syracuse, etc
but now the bit hitters... the schools with huge alumni are in play
Everyone involved will make more money that they ever did

So, what you are saying is the B1G is, in fact, relevant.

But Syracuse is still the #1 team in the city & from my experience Syracuse grads/fans care much more deeply about Syracuse sports than Rutgers grads do. Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan were already popular here, and of course those games are going to sell out.

there's a truck i occasionally see on my commute from Pataskala to Downtown CBus who has an OSU sticker on one side and a Boise St sticker on the other. so i guess we are big in idaho?

There's a reason the Bowls would always prefer to have EVERY B1G team regardless of W/L rcd... they have huge alumni's with money
This year, the Empire State Building has been 'dressed' at night in Rutgers colors at least twice

@Woody1968 You're right there so you would know... but can't say that I've ever noticed Syracuse anything in the city.. jerseys.. fans...

Sidebar.. I found it amusing that my daughter (Rutgers grad and die hard fan) was wearing her OSU jersey and shorts Sunday... 364 days a year she's Buckeye.. but in 2 weeks she'll be in Cbus.. and rootin for her Knights.. I hope they show well

ESPN has no choice but to be SEC promoters because the BTN financially kicks their ass
Being pro-SEC is their marketing ploy to get an audience for games ESPN/ABC covers
