College Football Coaches Rumors - 2004

He's probably frustrated because, as SmithLabs has so adroitly explained, he can never actually reach Juarez from El Paso because of Zeno's Paradox.
I don't know which is funnier - the thought of smithlabs finally getting his manhood up - still within millimeters of an El Paso nudie ranch or the Atomic Force Microscope needed for him to picture his moment of full glory.

I heard Notre Dame was going to offer him 5 million and replace touchdown Jesus with a marble statue of Bob Stoops (visor not included)
Actually in recent years, they have renamed touchdown Jesus, field goal Jesus.

I will be somewhat surprised if Stoops does head to UF.

Ok I havent been here very long, and I am going to regret this greatly, but what is all this dinging I hear talk of? Must be an inside joke, or ban :P

See right under your avatar? There are little green chicklets (emeralds some may call it) and you accumulate more of these (or they turn red if you have been a bad poster). Basically you can gives props to someone when they post, or on the otherhand tell them they suck by clicking on the little checkmark under there name and "adding to there reputation". What ever you do though, make sure you sign your dings, good or bad.

Dude, you don't know how close you were to having your ass dinged...
Mili

Mili, you have no idea how hard I laughed when I read that. Having your ass dinged sounds so dirty. Tonight I've learned the Webster's definition of sodomy and read about someone getting there ass dinged. Seems kind of ironic.!:wink2:

I think Stoops MIGHT want a challenge and might be appeasing his wife or whatever. He also would have the benefit of all of those recruits, rather than trying to convince them to come all the way out to Oklahoma.

Let's pray that he doesn't get to Florida. Right now Miami is the only great team down in Florida, and clearly they are even struggling. If he heads down there, suddenly that florida talent starts staying in florida again :(

Any chance that Stoops, being the astute midwestern gentleman that he is, has realized that this is a perfect opportunity to ask Oklahoma to check and see if they are paying him his market value? A nicely placed rumor can do wonders for getting people to check deep into their hearts to see how much they love you!

2+ things that came up a while back:

1 - Mrs. Stoops wants to go back to Florida
2 - They (The Stoops') have a home near Gainesville, and
- Coach likes fishing or something like that.

Is the OU job a challenge anymore?

Why not go to the SEC, play UM and FSU, battle with Nick Saban, and pick up some extra skrilla in the process.

Who would be the front runner for the OU job?

Bob Stoops, Linde Infante, and Steve Spurrier all have summer condos in
Cresant Beach Fl., which is 8 miles south of St. Augustine. They are there somewhere between early March and late May. Its fairly good weather then considering its still very cool in the mornings. Its beautiful downthere and not really crowded like Daytona and the rest of beaches south of that. Plus Spurrier and the rest like to go down to Hammock Dunes in Palm Coast for some great golf. I understand he is about a 9 or 10 handicapper in the game.

Here in Jacksonville the sports talk show hosts are getting feed back that Petrino could be a better pick than Meyers. With Petrino doing such a bang-up job at Louisville, some feel that Petrino is closer to the SEC system than Meyers would. Even though C-USA is not to be compared to the SEC, it does have some good talent. With Utah going up against Pittsburgh in the Feista Bowl, it should prove to be quite a measuring stick for Meyers and what his team will bring to the table.
