Colin Cowherd (Official Ass Hat)

"The questions they were asking made it seem like they were really trying to find stuff on Tressel if it was there. (Lyke) may wear scarlet and gray, but she went about it like she was an independent investigator."
Thats great to hear.......I am positive that if there was something going on like MOC has alleged, the NCAA would have found something other that Troy's mistake.

This chapter is closed in my opinion.

Exactly....its not like they didn't know what MoC said to espin. They know what was alleged and they know what turned out to be lies.

Colin Cowherd blasting tOSU on the radio

He is saying that tOSU is a poser this year because they haven't played well in their biggest games. He says that consistency is the most important thing and that tOSU is not consistent. He says that ND is consistent because you can expect 40 points a game and no dropped passes each week. He also says they are better because they played their best game of the year in their toughest game. What a jag-off... Then he is proceeding to call all tOSU fans non-objective because they don't agree with him, because everyone one not from OH agrees with him.

He was doing the same yesterday, saying that OSU was claiming the Big Ten title without deserving it and how they were dropping the "co-" part on merchandise, making it sound like we were taking something that wasn't ours and how Penn St was getting jobbed. I usually like Colin, but I took his INSISTENCE that *ALL* OSU fans and players were falsely claiming the Champion title personally. He was pointing a finger at Buckeye Nation as a whole.

Check list:
Inconsistent: check
ND consistent: check
ND better in their big games vs. tOSU wilting in theirs: check
tOSU fans not objective: check

So what's the problem again?

if MSU counts as a big game, then we were better in that one.

cowhered has always been sports-radio's version of Bill O'Reilly. I have never heard him field a call from an opposing viewpoint without mocking it, cutting them off, and treating them with complete disrespect, regardless of the intelligence of the comment (both in subject and how it was expressed).

Michigan is not a big game? Cowherd gets major props when he supports tOSU and now is a bum for having a different opinion. I like the guy...I don;t completely agree with him here, but his points are at least debatable.

Heard that. I wish I could care.

Colin was supportive of OSU pre-season... even said we'd beat Texas because Ohio State plays "Big Boy" football.

He's saying that OSU has been inconsistent in big games. If you look at the stats, he's right. I don't think his arguement is that ND is better than Ohio State, he's saying he'd prefer to see them in a Bowl because they "step up" during big games, whereas Ohio State goes in to a shell.

I personally don't agree with him, but I also follow Ohio State a lot closer than he does. Thus, I know that Tress plays the big games close to the vest. He believes it gives OSU a better chance to win, and his W/L record supports the same.

COwherd can have his rant. I don't care.

The problem is that there are more factors than what goes into his consideration. tOSU would look consistent too if we played a schedule with a combined record of below .500. ND was consistent in their game against MSU and scUM? I think not. Just because they played balls out at home vs. USC and have beat up on some teams with 9 losses doesn't make them a good team.

I used to like him, but lately all he is doing is making fun of people, taking shots at people, and being an ass-head. I wasn't even listening until a friend of mine called and said I had to hear him rant.

he has been doing this all year, this is just the first time it has been aimed at tosu. Do you not remember what he was saying about texas and mack brown before sept 10th. He is a smart radio personality trying to move up in the business.

Haven't played well in their biggest games? Doesn't he think Saturday's game was our biggest game? Is he that clueless about tOSU football?

If Hamby catches that little pass against TX, would he think we played well in that game? Does one or two plays make the difference between if you "played well" or not? I know it can sure make the difference in the outcome of games, but it doesn't define your entire effort in a game.

No, that's exactly his argument. He's saying that ND is better because they were consistent all year.
Were we inconsistent in some of our big games? yes. Was this because we are not a good team? definitely not. that is the point that he is trying to make. He's saying we have posed as a good team all year, but we aren't because we are inconsistent.
