Not sure if you've seen this, but its pretty awesome, considering Coldwater and Marion are only separated by like 10 miles.

One of the top teams in the MaxPreps Small Schools National Football Rankings, Coldwater is one of the favorites to win a state championship in Ohio this year. That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, however, as Coldwater has proven to be the top small school football program in the country over the past 17 seasons.

Cant say I blame you. When I first saw that score, I knew it had to be a mistake....only it wasn't.

There's a better than decent chance Coldwater will get another crack at them in the playoffs though.

Right now there's a 4-way tie for first with Coldwater, Marion, Minster & Anna all sitting at 5-1 in the MAC. Marion & Coldwater play each other in week 10, so we could end up with a 3 way tie for MAC Championship.

Ok, 2022 lol. Coldwater is 7-0 and 3rd in Region 18 (Div V). Their first 7 opponents have a combined record of 16-33. Their last 3 have a combined record of 18-3. Now, Bellefontaine is 6-1 and they beat them at their place handily, so the Cavs record is not inflated. Also, they have routed each of them.

I see them on a collision course with Marion Local (again) who is also 7-0. The Flyers schedule has been tougher with them handing 3 of their first 7 opponents their only loss of the year to date (Wapakoneta, McComb and New Bremen are all 6-1) They've also beaten 2 teams that are 5-2 (Minster, Versailles). They are also man-handling their opponents. McComb, for instance, is 6-1. Marion beat them 42-0

Whelp, it was like I had anticipated. Coldwater had to play a 2nd string WR at QB and 4 other starters were out. Not that mattered, no one is beating Marion this year.

Cavs will host North Union in the first round of the playoffs.
Marion will host MAC rival Anna, a team they beat 48-0 earlier.
