Pretty nice coaching tree, but 2-10-1 does still hurt. I was very glad to see us win one against scUM with Gordon Gee back at the helm. I'll never forget some of Coops deer in the headlight looks against the skunkbears. Tress's calm controlled demeanor is such a contrast and I think one of the main reasons for his teams success against the school up north.

Good job Coach Coop, he was a good coach , recruiter, but the 2-10-1 hurt me so bad. He is forgiven in my book.

Can there be forgiveness without repentence? I don't think Cooper has every repented, so no forgiveness. Maybe we can excuse him, but not forgive!

I, for one, have forgiven Coop. The older I get the easier it is to look back on his 13 years with a little more objectivity. The number one question I have asked myself; Was the program better off during and after Cooper's arival than it was before he arrived?

The answer to that question is a resounding YES!. The number of all-american's and 1st round/day NFL draft picks that cooper recruited is astounding. Not that OSU wasn't a national player, before Coop arrived in recruiting, but it's hard to ignore the number of players from states like Florida and California who were now coming to Columbus. A knock that I heard against Coop was that he couldn't recruit Ohio...Funny...I don't remember where Robert Smith, Kory Stringer, Orlando Pace, Dan Wilkerson, etc were leaving the state, do you?

Look, nobody was more pissed at 2-10-1 than I was. But for all of his failures against tsun, let us remember that the 02 National Champions were mostly Coops kids and that OSU is a stronger program for the foundation he helped lay in recruiting.

just my opinion.
