I saw people hyping UW up going into this season and thought it was odd because I literally couldn’t name a player on their roster and had no idea who their HC was other than he had been on Peterson’s staff. Well, he lasted 13 games before getting tossed because the team sucked, the recruiting sucked and apparently he liked to get “handsy” with players. Shock, horror.

He was their longtime DC so it's probably not a surprise to the people in the program he just did it on national tv

It is unclear what role the two altercations played in Lake's dismissal, but according to the school, Washington will honor the terms of his contract. He is owed roughly $9.9 million, pending any offsets from future earnings.

It's amazing how fast schools will pull the trigger on firing the coach. Paying off his contract is never a major consideration; it's just considered the cost of doing business these days.

The AD didn't go into detail; however, maybe in this case, the coach getting physical with some players played a bigger role in his firing than was announced.

Currently at 9 - 1, Wake Forest could have their best season of this or any other century. (Well actually, they strung 3 seasons of 11, 9, and 8 wins together in 2006 - 2008)
