In your opinion, who deserves it?



(Personally, Im leaning towards Spurrier - he has done the most with none of his own players and a team thats on probation.)

Gotta go with JoePa. Spurrier has done a tremendous job, as has Weis, but JoePa was the man this year.

I had to go with the 'other' catagory. My vote goes to:

The Ohio State University - Jim Tressel (8-2).

A tough, tough schedule, national championship expectations...things don't go exactly as everyone wanted early in the season...but Tressel keeps the team focused, and once again has them playing the best football in the country come the end of the season. I wouldn't take any of those guys on the sideline over him. Am I biased? Fuck yeah. But it's Fuck Michigan week...so i'm going to be bleeding scarlet and grey...I actually forgot their were other teams out there besides Ohio State and Michigan. No wait...I didn't forget...THEIR AREN'T ANY OTHER TEAMS OUT THERE besides Ohio State and Michigan. Coach of the year comes down to Jim Tressel or LLLLoyd Carr...and it's obvious who the best coach is...and will be even more obvious after Saturday.

The Younger Shula is my "other" pick.

The Tide loses their (only) deep threat to a freakish and horrible accident. Despite which he keeps his team focussed and on track for a season well above people's expectations after that personnel loss.
