Coach Chad Morris (Clemson OC)

Is this even a realistic possibility at this point for Clemson? Doing so would also mean a pretty hefty raise for Dabo as well, correct? Is Clemson in a position to lay out the big bucks for a HC AND an OC?

Clemson athletics heavily rely on a booster club called IPTAY...(back when it started, the dues were $10 per year so the saying "I pay ten a year!" \was common in the bleachers and was shortened to IPTAY.) Anyway, IPTAY folks are not at all happy with AD Terry Don Phillips and the perceived lack of administrative dedication to building national championship contenders...

If they don't at least answer with something in the ballpark, Clemson, SC might be up in flames.

Thanks for the insight!

Lord I love BuckeyePlanet. You won't get a nugget like that on the local pay sites.

I loved Clemson's offense in the games I saw this year. I was interested to see Studrawa + Urban and see what they came up with, but if they can move the ball like Clemson did this year I will be very excited about Morris.

It hasn't been consistently stopped yet though. Clemson had injuries in the backfield and up front that changed their scheme for a few games. Tajh Boyd started hearing some footsteps and went Mark Wohlers for a week or two.

Morris wants 90 offensive plays per game...he is attacking all areas of the field while limiting subs, testing conditioning, and limiting defensive checks. His running package is the part that is overlooked...he will motion you to death, run a few edge fraying jet sweeps while living on the inside zone/read option, and then countering back on you. Throw in some power/iso and you are in defensive hell.

Clemson thinks they should contend for national championships? And people say buckeye fans have too high of expectations?

QBs. He is 3 years in on the college game so he is an average recruiter...but his system is an excellent recruiter.

Studrawa is going to be a tough pull from LSU regardless of Morris.

Morris will be a tough pull from Clemson if they ante up also.

Thanks grad. Do you have a preference on Studrawa or Morris (assuming we have a legit shot at both)? I like Studrawa for the Ohio/SEC ties, the success coaching the OL, and recruiting, but Morris really seemed to do a great job with Boyd and I love the offense he runs.
