Clintonville Farmers Market

Fresh produce heads to market from Clintonville, part of a growing urban trend | The Columbus Dispatch

If the projections are right, by the time its eighth season wraps up this fall, the Clintonville Farmers Market will have drawn as many as 60 food producers from across Ohio.
No matter how many farmers end up participating, however, none of them is likely to steal the distinction Joseph Swain earned earlier this season: the grower who traveled the shortest distance to sell his goods.
While most of the market's vendors cultivate their produce 15 miles to 75 miles away, Swain's crops are sprouting barely 10 blocks from the market, which comes to life near N. High Street and E. North Broadway each Saturday during the growing season.
...

many of you are into these types of things, heads up for those folks

The Worthington farmers market is awesome. They've got some great food to pickup. Some of the best corn I've ever had came from a local farm that I got at the market. Some REALLY great stuff there! Definitely check it out!

I had one outside of my subway stop in jersey city. Best corn and tomatoes I've had outside of my aunt and uncle's backyard garden.

There's nothing like farm or home grown tomatoes and corn. Tomatoes are almost inedible for me during the winter, the texture and taste is bad. I remember when we were little and my grandparents put out a huge garden. Green beans, squash, zuchini, potatoes, tomatoes, strawberry's, cucumbers, and a lot of other stuff. I'd always go and pick the green beans and strawberry's off and eat them right out of the garden.

Worthington is a great one, we stop by there for our CSA pickup from Sippel Family Farm, but they also sell produce at the Clintonville Farmers Market. It's our first year as part of a CSA, it's definitely a good way to force more quality vegetables into our family diet.

The crap that Kroger's sells for fruit and vegetables doesn't compare to locally grown stuff from a farmers market. Please support your local farmers and enjoy fruit and vegetables that have real taste and you'll enjoy more. You don't even have to buy that much to make a difference.

And for that matter - your local butcher!
Planning on picking up some pork shoulder to grill for the USA soccer match on Saturday. Already called the butcher and he set aside some good ones!

Seriously! It's our second week with the CSA and I've already had more kale than I've ever had in my life. :)

How very lucky of you.

New single grower one in Linworth too on 161 for Columbus folks, it's pretty good and reasonably priced.

And, on my way to work... so... winner. The Damned Worthington one is always when I'm working... but is quite good, but can be a bit pricey.
