Pie' isn't terrible, only problem is he doesn't steal bases like I would expect him to...he hit .274 2 years ago, but without any power whatsoever he needs to steal 15-20 to be worth anything, and he doesn't steal half that.

Cameron, who turns 39 next month, batted only .203 with nine homers and 27 RBI in 237 at-bats last season between Boston and Florida. He hit .245 (.754 OPS) with five homers in 133 at-bats after the All-Star break. Why Cameron? He could provide depth in center in case Grady Sizemore's physical problems continue. ... The Tribe also has talked to Andy LaRoche, who is a career .226 hitter (.642 OPS) in 1,180 big league at-bats. He is mostly a third baseman. At 28, he could fill that spot at Class AAA. Cameron and LaRoche will probably receive minor-league deals if they are signed.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Indians are one of several teams who have called the Yankees to inquire about Nick Swisher.

We've heard that the Indians are pursuing every hitter on the market aside from Prince Fielder, so it's not surprising they would call. However, the Yankees are not inclined to move him as they don't have a competent in-house replacement for right field. Swisher's $10.25 million club option for 2012 was exercised in late-October.

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Carlos Beltran is deciding between the Cardinals, Indians and Blue Jays.

In other words, the Red Sox and Rays are out of the mix. With multiple teams interested, it's likely he ends up with a three-year deal worth more than $10 million per season. Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch was told Thursday that the Cardinals are the "leading candidate" to sign him. Beltran, who turns 35 in April, batted .300 with a .910 OPS, 22 home runs and 84 RBI in 142 games this past season between the Mets and Giants. Aside from Prince Fielder, he's the best bat left on the market.

swisher would be sweet...switch hits and plays in the OF...and was a buckeye...i like it...beltran....eh whatever
