Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

Should Sandy Alomar be worried? Last year, when there was a prolonged slump by the offense, Acta and the Indians fired Jon Nunnally, the hitting coach. This season, following a long, long collapse of the pitching staff, they fired pitching coach Scot Radinsky. So if (when?) there's another losing streak will they blame the bench coach?

Ready for a lick in the nads?

Can't say I disagree with any of this. Especially depressing when considering that since 2008, they've traded away two Cy Young Winners, an All-Star Catcher and received next to nothing in return in the grand scheme of things. You'd think those moves would lay the foundation for a contender starting around NOW, but nope. Nothing. [censored]. I hate being a Cleveland fan. At least we had the '90s. I see this franchise falling back into it's 60s-80s punching bag status, because I have zero faith in the ownership or FO to build a winner. Time to start casting "Major League 4"...

The current "youth movement" is looking like a pile of shit in the pitching department

The offense department isnt looking much better with the exception of Kipnis and Chisenhall (if he can stay healthy)

The only hope is that in 3-5 years the recently drafted better prospects who are in rookie ball/short A/lo A deliver and make an impact, but I'm not holding my breath, the 20-30 year funk seems to be looming.

Bobble giveaway is tomorrow, Sunday. Tonight is merely the little 15 minute ceremony in front of home plate, where they'll give Gaylord a new sportcoat and:

If anything, that review is a bit too positive. For example, they note that Pronk is gone but really don't say much about the fact there is nobody in the system who is likely to be a decent DH (not that they've had one for the past 4 or 5 years anyway). I think it's likely that they tear this club apart and drop the payroll down to less than $40M for 2013.

I've always just assumed it would be the "other guy" in the likely 1B platoon gaggle fuck of LaBusta and Lars Whatshisname.
