Cleveland Indians (2013 Season)

Get lost homeboy. I have 20 reasons to ban you right now that have nothing to do with this thread.

Then do it.

Geez, Indians fans can't take even the littlest bit of ribbing on top of what was a completely honest comment. If you go up to the plate and stare down the pitcher, get ready to take on in the ear. Hitting a guy in the head is not a good response, and I don't condone it. Yet if you stare a guy down, don't be surprised when you take one in the ear.

You guys must be out of Vagisil.

Our greatest victory of (most of) our lifetimes was in a Charlie Sheen movie. Yer goddamned right we're thin-skinned.

Or how about when you throw a 100 mph pitch near someones head be prepared to get stared down and possibly beat the fuck down...chapman started the bullshit and swisher handled it very well...get the fuck out of here with your shit

Yeah.

Baseball happens.

Indians fans have rights to be steamed about it, but shit has been going on in the sport since its inception. Reds fans will justifiably be pissed tomorrow when someone catches one in their earhole.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. Swisher walks up to the box and stares down pitchers every time asking for pitches to be at his head. Really? 1st one Swish didn't stare at him. In fact he looked back at the ump. 2nd one, Swish should have charged the mound for that crap. Did you even watch the game?

I'm sure there's going to be retaliation for it. Whether its tomorrow or in Cleveland. But what I fully expect is for you to start crying we hit one of your guys. I'll just make a lame excuse and say, he was looking at our pitcher when he threw the ball.

Don't stare at me bro

i missed most of the game today so i didn't see stare down o rama, but what the [censored].

what the [censored] is the batter supposed to be looking at? i mean i can kind of see it if somebody took me yard and made eye contact the whole way to first base, but otherwise i just don't get it.

No, we'll just be happy somebody actually got on base and not whine about it like Cardinals fans. Tribe fans have probably learned by now how much we prayed for Drew Stubbs to get earholed every once in a while so he'd become useful for a change.

Meanwhile, this thread is a mess - so much hostility toward each other, and not enough toward the shitty baseball being played. Allow me to extend a little hospitality to Tribe fans - you're welcome to come over to the Reds thread for a civilized discussion about how these two teams suck and are going nowhere. Just don't try trolling us with any sort of positivity.

First off, welcome to the Tribe thread, also known as "melancholy manner". Secondly, Stubbs...well, he hasn't been as awful as we anticipated. Not yet anyway. Also, we got rid of Choo. That guy is a Pabst swilling drunken goon. A regular menace. Beware of him if he starts sulking, he goes right to the hipster-doofus hooch. Plus, that trade ended up netting us our very own Rick Vaughn in Bauer, so at least we have that going for us...which is nice. I'll take 7 walks in 5 innings of work over 4 dingers any day.

We'll take the sulking as long as he keeps getting hit by pitches. He leads the majors at that, which makes him a clear upgrade over Stubbs. Sounds like the trade was a win-win!

DONGER BE BEANED!

Seriously, I do think the trade, when viewed in its entirety, has some play-out left in it, but is probably win-win. Choo has been great for you guys but does tend to sulk, and then there's the Boras/contract situation after the season, which will now not bite us in the ass anyway. Stubbs has been bad, but 2011 bad, not 2012 bad, so that has been a pleasant surprise. Plus he can hit lefties a bit, which all of Cleveland couldn't do last year, and in RF or LF his defense is above average. Bauer could be good in a year or two, or could have trouble throwing it between the dugouts and blow out his pitching arm or rectum or something...still hard to say. So yeah, jury is still out, but the results haven't been too bad.
