Cleveland Indians (2013 Season)

Just saw the video...holy smokes. Tattooed. Was at the game Thome hit the 511 to center. Reynolds, 2nd longest I've seen

Was also at the game that Thome crushed it in the 2nd game of day/night doubleheader. Temperature and humidity was horrible for the day game and our seats were in the full sun the entire game. We nearly went home between games but found some A/C between games and decided to stay.

I think once school is out and IF they are still winning you'll start to see the Pro fill up.

I always say, get me to July and I'll start really believing. Been through this too many times only to have the rug pulled right out.

The last two years, the start was unbelievable. But I knew the real Tribe team would show it's true colors. I agree though, if they can keep playing decent ball, the fans will show

As much as they played out of their minds early the last 2 years, I jsut think everyone had the sense that there just wasn't enough offense to really get it done... this is a little different situation. Not to mention that A. Chicks dig the long ball, and second, the having offense is just more fun. When you can hang 5 or 6 runs on someone in 2 or 3 innings, the game becomes just that much more fun for the fans. This isn't to say that dihard Tribe fans don't love a pitcher's duel, its just dihard tribe fans get you 10 or 14K a game.

If these guys can get some swagger going and a few come from behind wins, they'll get some folks out to the park.

(Having said that, the last week, they've just been bludgeoning motherfuckers, som coming from behind an option)

I think it's true that people are waiting for the collapse as well...if they get towards July and it is evident that they aren't going to firesale at the trade deadline, then people will be showing up. If they go 11-18 in June, which some expect, then they won't. Remember that this team was 8-13 going into the second game of a doubleheader in KC after getting crushed the first game. They don't take the nightcap and salvage something that day, and maybe they have a Bull Durham April (what's our record Larry? 8-16) and are out of it already. I think it's definitely a wait and see thing. If they keep bashing fuckers and lead the league in homers, people will come.

Been listening to 92.3 all morning and they're really focusing on the attendance and trying to convince fans to come to the park. They have Bob Dibiasio on this morning answering questions and helping which is pretty good. Hopefully it works because I think if the city and fans get behind this team, they have the type of personality that would really feed off of it. I mean cmon Swisher, Reynolds, and Kipnis are guys that to me seem to really feed off energy. I also think this team is different than the last two years based on the ways we're winning games, and primarily who our manager is - we're not scraping by with Manny Acts at the helm.

McAllister looking strong. 1-0 Tribe in the 7th.

Kipnis and AsCab are starting to wake up, which is a good thing. God help me, I'm getting some optimism about this team.

Zach has looked really strong lately, especially tonight. Has his ERA down to 2.63 and his WHIP at 1.09, very good numbers.

Gomes talks American better than I do.

What a pea to get the second out in the ninth.
Yap, Gomez has a real gone for an arm and that throw was right on the money.I wonder if he will become MacAllister's personal catcher since he had told him so well last night. I wish Santana could catch like him or Gomez could hit like Santana. That would be nice.

However, I was a little disappointed in the Tribe's performance last night because they did not hit any home runs:wink:

At this point Marson is expendable. They should keep Gomes up and drop him or DFA him. I don't want to sound harsh, because I have nothing against Marson, but he has a much lower upside.

Oakland led 3-0 after the 4th

Tribe coming rolling back to take a 4-3 lead....solo shots by Swisher and Santana in the 6th propelled them into the lead

7 IP 4 H 3 ER 7K/2BB for Masterson....4-3 tribe in the middle of the 7th...lets hang on to this one
