so after that series i like this team alot...our pitching is another story but its way early yet to say we need to blow it up and start trading for starting pitching...our bullpen will settle down and be pretty consistent i believe...Myers will have to stay consistently bad for us to consider replacing him since we are paying him $7 million this year and $8 million next year with a club option...hopefully Bauer has a good outing this saturday and Carrasco does well in AAA to give us options...but our hitting is legit...one guy we havent even seen yet who i think will be pretty good for us is Mike Aviles...the next series with the Rays will be a decent test for our pitching...hopefully we take 2 of 3

I was more impressed by the game they lost even...they had a mastadon turd on the mound, but they found ways to come back, tie the game, take the lead, or be in position to do so several times. Seems like a resilient bunch, especially after winning Game 2 after CP blew the save. Lots to like about the team...the 3-5 spots in the rotation, however, are not 3 of them.

Well, ironically on about Monday, if you asked me, I was more worried about 1-2 than 3-5 (on a relative basis, of course) As noted though, we have 7 guys right now for those 5 spots so, hopefully we can be productive. But, to echo your point, it was an entertaining game last night. A few extra bases taken here or there might have been a different result, odd for a team that should run as well as this team is capable of. At any rate, one series win, on to the next. tough Start to the season schedulewise so honestly if we get through the first 2 weeks above .500 we should have a pretty good indicator that they are gonna be not too bad.
