Seriously, he's a Joe Borowski clone. He gets the job done more often than not, but it's never pretty. Lately, he's been downright bad.

I don't think he's long for the closer position if he keeps pitching like this. It's okay when you have a 3-4 run lead, but the guy cannot be trusted with a one run lead anymore.

I just wonder if it's something mechanically or an underlying health issue, because he's lost noticeable velocity and his slider is gone.

Just looking to the future....and I'm extremely frustrated with the short-sighted bullshit of the the front-office. Pomeranz is as good as Jimenez right now...Pomeranz would actually have better stats right now than what Jimenez has put up this year.

So, we actually traded an equal pitcher to Jimenez for Alex White.

Awesome trade.

And before some Delta Bravo comes in and tells me Jimenex has established more than Poemeranz ever has, I agree. But that Jimenez has also been a ghost this year.

Not only did we fuck this year up, we also gave a fgutre #2, maybe even an ace go. But at least we got a guy back who doesn't seem to give a shit or even care anymore.....so we have that going for us.

I wouldn't go that far about Pomeranz. Yeah, he looked really good this year, but we should know from experience there's no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to prospects...especially pitchers. I'm not thrilled about the trade, but I'm willing to wait and see. Jiminez isn't really short-sighted at all. He's signed thru 2013 and most expect them to work on an extension for him. Plus it makes me happy that Antonetti isn't afraid to make that kind of move. Maybe they'll actually be agressive in FA this winter.
