Ubaldo ends the year with a 5.11 ERA while wearing an Indians uni (was 4.46 with Colorado).........think it's time to stop blaming Coors Field for his awfulness

well its been a fun ride while it lasted for the indians this year....much like ubaldo's terrible year, as well as some others on the tribe...the good news is that it can all be erased and started new for next year...hopefully this offseason we make some splashes and get this team built for 2 halfs of the season this time

you can take solace in the fact that alex white's era with the rockies is in the 8.5 to 9.0 range.

given what the indians' staff has been able to do with masterson, tomlin et. all, i'll give them the offseason to fix ubaldo's mechanical issues. i'd also expect them to tell jiminez to actually show up in shape so he doesn't hurt himself at the start of the year again.

Mother goddamned fucker. Load the bases in the 8th. One motherfucking run on a sac fly. No fucking clutch hitting.

Then Jhonny Peralta, that fucking bum, hits a home run for them on the first fucking pitch. Why the fuck did he suck for the Indians for years? GIDP Peralta. Fuck him all to hell.

Fuck the Tigers, I hope they get swept in the playoffs.

Aaaand with the tying run at 2nd and their best hitter up in the 9th he fucking strikes out. Right now I'm glad this season is over. The injuries and the fucking weak no-clutch bats were driving me crazy.

It was a great year.

2010: 69-93, 4th place
2011: 80-82, 2nd place

That's a hell of a jump. I hope they find some answers over the off-season and get healthy. Kipnis, Chis, Rage, Thome - it was an entertaining year. Hoping for the best for next year.

even tho most of the female indians fans will hate it...we have to get rid of sizemore
100%...the only way I see him coming back is some incentive-laden deal on the cheap. He isn't worth 1/3 of the $9M he'd get from picking up his option. He was a very good player from 2005-08, but the last three years, between stints on the DL, he was David Dellucci-esque.

Anyway, disappointing to not finish up at .500, but they ended up 10-15 games better than I thought possible. Got the youngsters some valuable experience (in a division race, no less), found an ace, some good bullpen pieces, and some good spare parts. Hopefully, they open up the checkbook and fill some of the holes.

Very fun six weeks followed by about 3.5 months of frustration, but I'll just remember the good times.

tonight is MLB awesome...Rays game, awesome...Braves game, awesome...Red Sox game, awesome...i hope the rays can get in the playoffs somehow...they have the best pitching staff in the AL out of the teams left in or eligble for the playoffs...my predicion for World Series:

Rangers vs Brewers...Rangers in 6

grady is going back to the specialist that previously did his microfracture surgery. i think that basically seals the deal on his tenure in cleveland. now, the real question is whether or not the club will use that $9 million to actually pick up a FA replacement of some sort.

:slappy: Good one, NF

This fucking team's MO: Catch lightening in a bottle from an over-the-hil, worn-out vet or get a great young talent and ride him until he bolts for free agency to one of 6 teams.

Frustrating.
