pressing their luck with durr-bin in for another inning
Durr-bin and Hermann are the only guys that haven't been worn out lately. They have to ride them.

Meanwhile, the Tiggers can trot out a scrub lefty and ride him because out lineup is baffled by lefties. :!

He's the Austin Kearns of pitchers.
Nah, he's come through a couple of times. I can only recall ONCE for Kearns. The fact that he's still on this roster is astounding. He has 7 RBI on the year and it's August, despite being on the roster all year and receiving decent playing time. That is truly an accomplishment in futility. He wouldn't make most AAA teams at this point.

I thought Kearns had a couple clutch hits. I know he had the one against the Yankees.. was thinking there was another one recently. But I can't remember, he's too shitty for me to give it much thought.

Acta showing more of his managing chops. Brings in a lefty when you have Cabrera, two switch hitters, and another righty due up. I'm beginning to question his ability to manage at a major league level. I thought his failure in Washington could be due to the horrendous talent he had around him, but geeze. This guy has made a lot of questionable to downright awful moves the past couple months.
