Or that money will help offset the reduction in broadcast revenues now that Bally's is out and MLB will be the broadcast partner.

Cecconi seems like Cleveland's type of pitcher. Good control and a plus secondary pitch. Given that five of his outings came against the Padres and Dodgers, plus he was absolutely slaughtered overall at the hitter-friendly Chase Field and I'm willing to give him a pass on his terrible 2024 numbers.


The way I see it, worst case scenario you made a 1-for-1 swap of Santana for Naylor while Cecconi doesn't figure it out and cost you the difference in a CB-Round B pick and a Rev Sharing Comp pick (~30 to 35 pick difference). Totally worth the risk considering Naylor's 2nd half numbers and Cecconi looking like the standard sprinkle some Cleveland pitching fairy dust on him and he turns into another, "Where did this guy come from!?"
