High School Cleveland Glenville Tarblooders

grad: You can't argue with CoosMeister...after all he's a high school football player. :roll1:

Hey CoosMeister, you say you "played against" both...what position did you play, and did you actually play in those games or just suit up? No slam...serious question.

#1 Robiskie chose OSU over Miami of florida and Florida. I hate to give props to Florida schools but they know how to recruit offensive talent...How many talented WR's has OSU put in the pro's in the last 20 years(alot). I think our staff knows more about what they want than we could ever guess too.

#2 Robiskie is approaching 6'5 and just turned 17 in December. When I start to think about it this kid will only get physically stronger and his versatility may allow him to grow into a TE. i'M SURE THE STAFF WILL DROP HIS 40 TIME SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT.

#3 HES A GOOD KID AND GREAT STUDENT AND SEEMS TO BE VERY COACHABLE!!!! I will take classy kids like Robickie over thugs anyday of the week.

All in all I think before his career is over Brian will make us fans look back and see his 2 star rating and say "we stole one". Star rankings don't mean as much as people that following recruitng think.

Remember Coos Buckeye planet vets already know what Bucknutters haven't figured out(The coaches know more about what they want than we do)

Yes I played well over half of both of those games...I hit with both Milligan and Robiskie. I don't proclaim myself to be a genious, I don't even know as much as you guys probably do about high school athletes. I even said OSU would be in trouble if I was a coach. I don't think I know everything and Robiskie might be great. I played LB btw.

Millani-I never asked Grad not to argue w/ me. I never even implied that he shouldn't because I don't mind reading other peoples views. . Both were very good players but as I have said I felt Milligan was much better. Whatever though, obviously I made some of you guys mad w/ my comments and Im sorry about that.

No profile on scout yet, maybe will never get one. He played at US though which is a huge reason why I believe. Some guys just never get recognized.

Actually I mistyped I played about a quarter in the US game against Milligan not a half.

Not mad at all with you...just disagree with some of your logic and presentation.

No big deal.

I've coached a number of kids who are incredible players but could not get a sniff from the D1 ranks...over time, I've learned to recognize some of the intangibles that these schools are looking for, but basically every school follows their own philosophy. The stopwatch or the statline does not always reflect the potential of a player...

BTW, things are starting to pick up on the two OL I told you guys about last year. Coach Stockstill from South Carolina called this past week and is supposed to be in the school this week to pick up film and meet some of the boys.

I think you will see Milligan get an offer down the road...Probably after the Glenville season is over. I think it will probably be at WR too. If not at tOSU then somewhere. There might* be character issues w/ him as well as grade issues b/c he left US and I heard some rumblings that I won't put on here b/c they are just that but if you want you can PM me and I will tell you what I heard.

Coos, no one is mad. You were just a bit assertive with your opinion that Milligan was so much better than Robiskie. Maybe he is better, but the fact is that Robiskie was a pretty highly touted WR courted my several major I-A programs. In my book, that means Robiskie is pretty good, and that not many other receivers are "far superior".

Wouldn't it be a good thing if "Milligan is FAR superior to Robiskie"? The Bucks have Robiskie and he seems like a great prospect. Now we probably are in on Milligan, so the better he is the more potential the Bucks have to gain another great player.

I'm excited.

No, kids flock to Glenville because they have such an outstanding football and track program compared to most of the other Senate League schools. Recruiting is not necessary. That's beside the point though, Coach Ginn gives a lot of these kids 2nd (even 1st for some) chances to do something great with their life.

That's what matters.

FWIW, Glenville had 9 kids sign w/ Central State. That is insane-I hope they can transfer to a quality school.......they also had 7 kids sign w/ D-1 programs 2 Ohio State, 1 Cincinnati, 2 Eastern Michigan, and 2 Akron-maybe it was Kent-definitely another MAC school.....

Thats 16 kids off of one team! Thats unheard of. BTW Central State is finally fielding a football team again. They were one of the best smaller school football teams in the 80's. The tradition at Central State is excellent and the kids from Glenville will probably be recognized if they perform well.
