Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

37 point no effort loss at home to complete the sweep. Watch these bozos play the "we have to give him another year" card with Atkinson though.
If they fire him the media will go crazy “HOW DO YOU FIRE A GUY THAT GOT YOU TO THE CONFERENCE FINALS WITHOUT LEBRON”

His incompetence will never be mentioned.

Should be an interesting offseason. As one Cleveland reporter wrote - they are a good team, not a great one.

Let's see what Dan and Koby have up their sleeves. I do wonder if they go the Knicks route - fire their head coach even though he took them to the Conference Finals. Personally, it seems like they need to make some roster adjustments first. But I am just an armchair point guard;-)

Well the 92.3 The Fan people seem to think Sashi Atkinson will be fired today. I can’t say I see it, but then the easiest way for Altman to defend the Harden trade is to blame the coach, so…I can see it going either way.

More up chucking.. we have THE highest payroll of the entire NBA.. we pay $50M in fines for being this level

Greg Porter is eligible for a 4 yr deal paying $92M.. pretty sure Porter had more TOs than minutes played in the post season
In a sane world you'd offer him 4 yrs for $10M.. IF you still wanted him

They will be the joke of the league if they bring him back. The team completely shut down and quit after the game 1 meltdown, you can't have a coach who a whole team is just willing to quit on. And then factor him being a fucking idiot with the analytics comment too. You cannot bring him back. But it's Cleveland so they probably will

Dunno @BuckBackHome
Harden is vastly over priced
I was immensely crushed at the failure of the bench
I do give credence that this team has only been together less than 3 months
I am displeased that neither Wade nor Merrill have more than a 6 inch vertical.. but their grit and shooting were admirable
Did I say how pissed I am at the bench?
Playing two VERY physical 7 game series hurt them.. They were gassed and NY was extremely rested
Had they pulled out game 1, who knows
I believe Donavan is injured.. lower leg
Atkinson was constipated. Best case, he deserves 50% of the blame. Not sure a coach swap moves the dial.
I have always believed "You don't need to be the better team.. You need to be the better team for a week"
I am also a believer that you go as far as your backups can take you.. in any sport, especially football and basketball

All reports now from ESPN and other insiders are that Kenny has high levels of support from “key people in the organization” and that he will 100% be back next year, as will Harden
