After 2 games Harden has been as advertised. Maybe, and I mean MAYBE based on his past history, he is motivated to make this work. It’s possible that adding him and getting rid of the 2 malcontents and the guy who could never stay healthy is what this team needed (don’t sleep on Schroeder either). One figures there’d be a bump immediately, we’ll see how they come out after the break (and hopefully they can beat the Wizards Wednesday)

Sneaking by the Kings in a slopfest was nothing to write home about...but gutting out a win from 10 down at the end of a trip over Denver showed a lot of guts last night. Hornets/Thunder/Knicks/Bucks are 4 of the first 5 coming back, and the Harden first impression period will be over...will find out a ton about this team by March 1.

2 things have changed recently with this team that have ignited their confidence and overall play.
1. Obviously the Harder trade had been an Offensive spark and the whole roster had been affected.
2. The most significant in my opinion is that the play of the guys off the bench, Bryant and Tomlin, has lit a phenomenal fire in Jarrett Allen. Dude is playing angry and nowhere near the soft stuff we've seen from him in playoffs. If that continues there is a real Finals chance for this team.
Staying healthy has always been this teams issue but the bench just may finally be good enough to make it work.

It doesn’t hurt their entire strategy going into season was to treat the regular season at a different “level” so they’re fresher going into playoffs.

THAT is the biggest difference. It was an organizational decision to NOT prioritize winning the East. They decided being “healthy and fresh” was more important.
