Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Yet another great night from the floor by Isaiah Thomas: 3-13, including 1-6 from 3 pt range. When you factor in his putrid defense, he may be one of the worst players in the league over the past month. Well, if it weren't for Rose, who went 0-7 from the field tonight.

I'd waive them both tomorrow.

Gilbert is salivating on himself waiting to give him a max contract. Book it.

When LeBron leaves next year, your starting lineup will consist of the worst defender ever, JR Smith who can’t hit a cow with a milk truck, Tristan Thompson who can’t score, Kevin Love waiting for his next injury, and...Crowder who doesn’t want to be here? Yay?

He'll leave and he won't look back. He is going because head office idiots have to be in charge. They are on their way to becoming the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NBA. At least they got a title.

You're kidding yourself if you think most, if any, of those guys are on the roster next year without LeBron in tow.

Love and Crowder are a given to be moved as they can fetch good assets (Love because he's still really freaking good and will be under team control for two seasons and Crowder because he's on a very friendly contract for two more seasons). Smith will be entering the last year of the fully guaranteed portion of his deal (it reduces to a ~$3.5 mil guarantee in 2019-20). Thompson is likely the toughest guy to shop as he'll be due big money in 2018-19 and 2019-20, but all it takes is one team to have interest.

The funny thing is that the team would still be competitive if they had kept Kyrie. They could've built a team of smart, young defenders (ala Boston) around Love and Irving. They wouldn't be winning titles, but they could've been as good as the Raptors have been the last few years. Another reason why moving Kyrie made no sense when the "LeBron to LA" writing was on the wall.
