Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Throwing tantrums is never the right way to play basketball. It is a team game, you don't always get the ball. They were trying to bleed the clock at the end of the half, not trying to score as quickly as possible.
but why are you trying to bleed the clock down 13? not a cavs fan... but i dont get the animosity? team is shitty, isnt actually trying to win... you want him to be all peaches and cream?

Do you watch much basketball? Literally almost every game a team bleeds the clock at the end of the first half. Strategically getting him the ball would have made some sense there, but it is far from unusual to do what most teams do and just kill the clock. They Cavs were never going to win that game either way. At any rate, clearly his protest is not because he is deeply upset about that particular play because of his desire to win and is part of the larger issue, that he wants out of Cleveland and is trying to raise a stink to hasten his exit.

I don't expect him to enjoy losing or be happy losing, I just expect a veteran being paid the highest salary on the team to act like a professional and set a good example instead of acting up. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised since he wants to be traded, it isn't a big deal, but at the end of the day there's no reason to be proud of Kevin Love's actions in this particular scenario.

Whether or not they’re trying to bleed the clock is irrelevant. You still try to optimize the possession, even if it means getting him the ball later in the shot clock.

Holy cow. Haven’t seen this version of the Cavs yet so watched the 4th quarter and OT vs Knicks. And the Knicks suck. Still lost - at home. This team is bad. Really really bad. There’s 30 plus minutes I’ll never get back. I knew better but didn’t think they could look this bad. But they do. I’ll check in again next year. No need to see more.

Basically getting him for free. Can opt out of his deal at the end of the season. At the very least, the Cavs now have his Bird Rights which can allow them to sign-and-trade Drummond elsewhere in the offseason.

Also, doesn't hurt to have a legit rim protector when your backcourt is a defensive sieve.

It hurts if the goal is to have better draft picks to draft better players. Wait. It’s the Cavs. They’d fuck up the first 2 picks if they had them.

that is totally BS...
We've had Dion Waiters, Anthony Bennett, and Wiggins.. so take it back
and we traded away our picks in 2016 and 2017 because we didn't need anybody

We're playing Ali's rope-a-dope with the NBA.. we got em just where we want 'em
