Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Jordan never even reached a Finals without Phil Jackson AND Scottie Pippen. LeBron dragged the old, no name Cavs there on his back. Now that he has a supporting cast, we're seeing the results.

LeBron > Jordan, don't give me the "rings" argument (see above). One-on-one, LBJ would eat his lunch.
I can't argue any of that.

The biggest argument against LeBron for the longest time was that he lacked the "ice" gene and killer instinct that Jordan had. After witnessing his last two (really three) postseasons, that argument doesn't hold much water anymore. If he slays GS again this year, I don't think there's an argument for Jordan anymore.

I still think GS may have too much firepower, but I'm wrong about that kind of thing a lot, sob hopefully wrong about this too.

The regular season issues were clearly due to boredom. They gave Golden State two games before truly locking in last year. This year, it looks like they've been ready for Golden State since the Toronto series.

LeBron shouldn't be able to do this at age 32, in year 14. I don't know how people still think Jordan is on a different plane. LeBron is 3-4 in the Finals, but I will once again argue that he's had an inferior team in 5/7 appearances. The Heat probably should've beaten Dallas, and they definitely should've beaten OKC, but he's been an underdog (sometimes drastically so) in every other Finals appearance. Jordan's best opponent was Stockton and Malone.

His last three postseasons:

30.1 ppg, 11.3 rpg, 8.5 ago, .465 Fg%
26.3 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 7.6 apg, .525 Fg%
34.8 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 7.1 apg, .560 Fg%

Unreal.
He's gotten better. This is unworldly.

And he hasn't flinched a smile yet. I think I commented last year how locked in he was. He is on a mission that I have rarely ever seen a human/athlete have. I still don't think he can do the impossible, but I'm ready to ride.

Boston doesn't have firepower like GS, but they have some and it disappeared as soon as this series started. I'd look for something similar although less drastic from GS. The other bonus for the Cavs is none of GS's stars have the ice in their veins killer instinct. GS came back to win the OKC series last year only because KD is an even bigger pussy than Curry and crew. Hell I believe that the Cavs would be looking at the Spurs in the Finals if not for Kawhi's ankle.
