Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I agree. I didnt expect this team to sweep the first round. Its actually hard to sweep a team reguardless of who they are. But Cavs are showing that they do have a playoff switch. It makes the regular season that much more meaningless. I thought it would be good to build habits, but the Cavs have sucked since the all-star break then they come out and sweep a team...

We not only need to lower Lebrons minutes but also rest Kyrie more. Im hearing that Kyrie is having knee pain again right now. He was ok last year because he rested the first 25 games. I truly dont think Kyrie is built to play 82 games a year.

Its critical we keep Deron or get another vet backup PG next year.

Homecourt is still important though. It makes the series so much easier to have the home refs for the first two games.

I think the week off helped make sure everyone is nice and fresh now, which is the good thing about mowing through the playoffs as quickly as possible. I agree about needing to limit Lebron's minutes during the regular season. If they could somehow get James Jones to transition to a coach so they could replace him with another young body and bring back the rest of the roster it could make that possible. I still wish they had held onto Liggins since he seemed to be a good young body that was under a cheap contract for another year. Limit everyone to 30-35 minutes a game next year with plenty of days off. I actually think the Cavs would have an advantage as a lower seed because it really puts a team on the ropes when they lose one of the first 2 games at home.

What happens with D Will? and DWill2?

I think the only way they keep D-Will is if he's willing to take the min. The MLE that they can offer won't make a dent into what he can make elsewhere. The MLE might be enough for D-Will2 if they can convince him that he'll have a roll more like he did for his first month with the Cavs rather than now. If they intend to limit Lebron and Love's minutes D-Will2 would be a good backup at the 3/4 and they could probably give him over 20 minutes a game.

The Warriors have the easiest path to the finals. Damn the effn Clips for FAILING as usual, don't wanna hear [Mark May] about the Cavs playing in the East.

Warriors sweep the Jazz and get another week off.

The Clippers would not have challenged them much either, especially after Blake Griffin went down.

They'll blow past the Rockets or Spurs, who are now minus Tony Parker leaving them with no depth at PG (Patty Mills and then some guy whos barely played)

The Cavs have won 9 straight playoff games in a row. Including the finals last year.
Im betting we sweep Toronto and win the ECF in 5.

Bron isnt the only one going beast mode. Most of our team is, in their own roles.

Spurs parker gets injured which gives GS an easier path..yet again.

An epic clash between the two titans of the league is brewing.

I like Houston more than SA. I think they'll challenge Golden State before eventually losing in 5 or 6.

Everybody is upset with the West for giving GS an easy route to the Finals, but the Cavs are the only team with any shot at beating them. And regardless of how well we're playing, it's still Golden State's title to lose. That team has too much talent.

They look good, but I worry about LeBron's longevity. Ty Lue seems content to run him into the ground, Thibodeau-style. LeBron has no business playing 41 minutes against this inferior Raptor team. If he has to play 41 minutes against Golden State, sure, whatever. But in the second round against a weak Eastern Conference team? Is that necessary?

They have at least nine games left to play, and we all know it's likely closer to 17 if they're going to repeat. He rests for 2 minutes at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarters and that's all. Does Lue think Kyrie and Love incapable of running the offense for longer than that? I just can't understand the thinking. LeBron has proven that he's superhuman over the course of his career, but I can't understand why we'd want to test that in his 14th season with a series against the best team he's ever played looming. I'm happy with him playing 38 minutes in the playoffs. If Toronto was a decent team, and LeBron had to play the entire 4th quarter instead of most of it, he'd have logged 44 minutes tonight. Meanwhile, Kyrie and Kevin are years younger than LeBron and they only played 32 minutes each.

Golden State is going to be a huge challenge, but right now Ty Lue's mismanagement is the biggest problem in Cleveland.
