Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Only way TT is worth that kind of money is if he shoots 1000 mid range jumpers this offseason, per day, and becomes a viable option on the offensive end with the ball in his hands. No other way.

DO NOT want Demarcus Cousins. Leaning towards kind of hoping JR gets more money elsewhere and goes for it. Sounds like the kid from VA that they have Cavs taking in the Mocks is the right kind of fit on the wings anyway.

Unfortunately it isn't about what someone is worth when you don't have other options. It becomes about what it takes to keep him. If TT only gets a 10-11 mil offer I bet he takes his qualifying offer and becomes unrestricted next year when the cap goes up. With the increased cap 15 mil next year is more like 12 mil now so paying him 60 mil over 4 years isn't that bad to make sure he's locked down and happy. From what I've heard he has always had a strong work ethic and they think he will develop some sort of mid-range game over time.

No way Lebron is ok with them replacing JR with a rookie 24th pick. As big of a fuck up as JR is the aren't going to find a better 4th option. Nobody is going to throw much money at JR so it's probably more about years than $ to him.

I don't see why people care so much about what Tristan Thompson gets paid. If Gilbert is willing to pay him, it's no skin off my back. It doesn't preclude them from paying Love too. We just watched Golden State beat us with a five big rotation. No reason why we can't find the proper distribution of minutes for our collection of bigs.
