Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

if you pick 2nd you take Drummond over MKG and never look back. for one MGKs biggest weakness is consistant shooting, thats NOT a good sign and its not a given that his shooting will come around

2nd Drummond is still 7'0 280 and incredibly athletic. he moves very very well for someone that huge. the NBA game isnt as crowded at the College level and Drummond will be asked to be a 2nd option on a pass first team as opposed to 3rd option on a shoot first team at UConn

Drummonds potential is still Dwight Howard with Amares athletic abillity

I think the Cavs would be crazy to use their two picks in the first round on a PG and PF (exactly what we drafted last year). I do like the second round of the mynbadraft. We need a center and a wing player.

You're right, I guess I'm just not in love with picking Moe Harkless with our other 1st rounder. If Thomas Robinson is available, it's hard not to take a good look at him though.

I'm not ok with Robinson at #4 when they can pick Beal. At some point,
i'd love to see the shooting problem addressed, it might as well be now. Next year is supposed to be the Center draft, so we'll work on bigs at that time. I'd love a #2 with the first pick and a #4 with the second. Anything buy Euro's in round two.

Really, at this point, you're hearing good and bad about nearly every player. It would be nice to just win the lottery and make the easy choice.

What I can't understand is, Beal's numbers, are really no better than Buford's, and Buford had a very down year.

I agree about Moe Harkless, I see that as ending up being a wasted pick

I'm also not a very big fan of Andre Drummond....see him being a bust all the way, would be very disappointed if the Cavs ended up with him with their first pick

Beal is also only a freshman to Buford's senior. He's much more explosive going to the hole, IMO, as well. I think he would compliment Kyrie Irving perfectly.

With the other 1st rounder, I'd like to see someone like C.J. Leslie.

The two 2nd rounders could be used on Festus Ezeli or Fabricio Melo and a European swingman like Evan Fournier.

Yea, that's what I'm talking about regarding looking at players and ratings going up and down. I just assume the guys in charge know exactly what they're doing. Buford's an enigma. He certainly, more than most players, just has the look of an NBA player. Not being a homer at all. but I'd certainly like to see the Cavs draft him in round 2, even if it's their last pick.

I just loved watching Beal every time I could this season. I think he could be a very good guy to pair with Irving.

Looks like the 1 point win against the Kings will probably cost the Cavs. Luckily the Kings won one that they probably shouldn't have tonight which gives them the same number of wins as the Cavs, but the Kings have the tiebreaker. The Cavs will need to lose out with the Kings beating the Bobcats in order for the Cavs to get into the 4th spot in the lottery. As long as they get in the top 5 I think they'll be able to draft a player that will help.

if beal had played with craft instead of the chuck and duck midgets UF had a PG, he'd have had a monster year. UF's system really inhibited him. but he's one of the best rebounders as a SG I've seen in a while, and he plays pretty good defense. Assuming Davis, MKG and Drummond are all gone by the time cleveland picks, they need to do everything in their power to get Beal.
