Sad but true. I love the Browns, but I'm praying that they wouldn't go anywhere near A.J.. If I'm a prospect, I'm scared to death of becoming a Brown.

Ok, I misspoke when talking about 2003. I know that they didnt sell out every game that year, but they did sell out games that year. Every game last year was a sellout as was this year. Hardly the mark of a bandwagon fan.

Actually I am glad that they didnt sell out in the early part of the decade. Mike Brown only cares about one thing - his pocketbook. He wasnt going to change his ways until people stopped coming to the games which it was happened in 2002 and what caused Mike Brown to get Marvin.

Finally, what was your attendance like in 1996? 1997? you know, when you had 0-0 records. Oh yeah, Browns fans were too cheap and dumb to get a new stadium.

This week, the Browns turned the tables, making the Oakland Raiders leave the field with their heads down after Phil Dawson nailed a 38-yard field goal with no time left to give Cleveland a 9-7 win, and Romeo Crennel the fifth win of the year he wanted so badly...

It's been a long time coming.
The Browns hadn't beaten the Raiders in Oakland for over 30 years—32 to be exact—as the Browns hadn't won in Oakland since Nov. 18,1973 when the Browns won 7-3 when Nick Skorich was the Browns head coach.
However, the Browns were able to take advantage of a blocked field goal by Alvin McKinley and Phil Dawson kicked the fourth game winning field goal of his career from 38 yards out as time expired to give the Browns a 9-7 win. The Browns improved their record to 5-9 and assured themselves of bettering last season's record of 4-12.
After the Raiders got on the board first with 1:16 to play in the first half, Dawson hit a 45-yard field goal as time expired to make it a 7-3 game at the half.
The Browns made it 7-6 on Dawson's 24-yard field goal with 1:48 to play in the third quarter after Leigh Bodden intercepted a pass form Kerry Collins that went off the hands of Jerry Porter.
The Raiders scored as Kerry Collins hit Randy Moss for a 28-yard touchdown with 1:16 to play in the first half. Prior to the reception, Moss did not have a reception. Moss found a seam between safeties Chris Crocker and Sean Jones and that was his only catch of the game.
Trailing 7-6, the Browns had chances earlier in the fourth quarter but back-to-back turnovers stopped drives. A fumble on the exchange between Reuben Droughns and Charlie Frye was the cause of the first one. The second was on third-and-one and Frye tried to hit Corey McIntyre down the sideline, but Renaldo Hill picked it off.
From there, the Raiders grinded out the clock with LaMont Jordan running the ball. Jordan was hobbling on an injured big toe, but refused to come off the field and still the Browns had trouble stopping him as he gained 132 yards on the day.
However, the defense was able to force the Raiders to try a field goal, and McKinley was able to block the kick by Sebastian Janikowski to give the Browns another chance.
The offense took over on their own 37 with 3:15 to play after the missed field goal. Frye hit Frisman Jackson for a nine-yard play to keep the drive going out to midfield.
Then, on third-and-three, Frye was sacked but a 15-yard penalty was called on Derrick Burgess for grabbing Frye's face mask to take the ball to the Raiders' 38.
With 1:09 to play, Frye hit Jackson for a first down to the 28. Droughns rushed for nine-yards to the Raiders' 20 with 54 seconds to play.
On second-and-one, Droughns carried the ball and the referees ruled he fumbled the ball which was recovered by the Raiders with 43 seconds to play.
Replays looked as though Droughns was down and after review the call was reversed and the Browns retained possession at the Raiders' 19.
Two plays later, Dawson nailed the game-winner.

The one thing you have to give to this team is that they haven't given up yet on the season. They are playing hard, and earning their paychecks. That bodes well for next season and beyond.
