To me, it was like this is what I was hoping the kid would look like LAST YEAR at this time (or when we saw him in live games) so, at least its something, we'll see if it goes forward. He's gonna have to live by improvising for a while until (if) he can develop something consistent from the pocket.

I don't get it.. this should be a really good OL
and a team with a really good OL should be able to do something with only a mediocre QB
granted that line didn't play last night...
but it was still obvious the RBs are not Einsteins in picking up the blitz...

Heard all these great things about McCown... and there he is throwing up an alley oop to a 5'6 dude
Reminded me of the last 22 QBs.. gun shy...
I'm depressed and we're not thru Sept yet

Last night's game will probably be the only Browns game I get to see this year
we get 1) Jets 2) Giants 3) Eagles 4) Redskins

I think McCown is a good enough QB when you give him a good pocket and decent WR's. There aren't many QB's that stay cool when shit is hitting the fan all around them. That Bills D is the real deal and can make even a good OL look silly especially when combined with a Ryan D. I don't think it will be as good or bad as things have looked so far especially if we can limit the slot dots to 1 or 2 on the field at a time. That alley oop isn't as crazy if a guy like Bowe or Pryor is on the other end.

What's Tampa's D like? I'm pretty sure our D should have their way with Crab Legs.

Go ahead and flame me for this, but I saw some glimpses of the "it" factor for Johnny. Even though it was a Chinese fire drill in the backfield he seemed to have a plan for where to go with the ball. The game moves way to fast for our starting quarterback. As usual, since Bernie Kosar our beloved Browns seem to have no checkdown routes for the blitz.

The first team Oline had their moments as well and opened a couple decent holes. Let's not kid ourselves, Buffalo has the best starting front 4 in all of football. You have 3 pro-bowl players and an alternate on that dline. Good lord.
Closest thing to that might be St. Louis with their depth.

Tampa has a couple pieces but their Dline outside of McCoy isn't really impressive, to say the least.

TB might as well just put Crab Legs on the IR. He's just going to be ruined this year if they trot him out there. Suck again and get a couple more guys for next year.

Looks like the Bills killed the Steelers so I feel bad for anyone against that D this season. Browns OL is good, but Bills DL is the best especially with a Ryan D.
