The game is moving too fast for Baker. I still have hope that he will come out of this and be a good NFL QB next year and beyond. Does anybody remember how bad Elway was in his first couple of seasons?

he wasn’t great but you could also tell by the mid point of year two he had the ‘it’. plus the Broncos had no reasonable expectations at that time.
from an outsider point of view, Baker is more concerned about his image (3 different facial hair patterns in 1 day??) and ‘being who he is’ than being a pro. the kid has to humble himself and grow up or he will be out of the league in 3 years. I think he is talented enough physically. kid is a mental midget, though.

I have one basic question... why can't Baker hit a WIDE OPEN WR in the chest... why does it have to be 4 ft over his head... so if he even gets his finger tips on the ball... a defender cuts him in half as he's totally exposed

Who'da thought the guard trade would be so devastating

Baker has had issues with the ball occasionally sailing on him as far back as Oklahoma. There are times his footwork becomes erratic and when he misses, be misses high.

I think it's the opposite. He's always been a grinder ... an arrogant one, but a grinder nonetheless.
On one hand, he's getting PTSD behind the Oline... and that's taking a toll in confidence and accuracy.
But his physical traits have always been limited, starting with height. He's always been a system QB with high effort.
2 reads at most, majority are 1 read plays. A lot of roll outs (short). Fast enough for College. Used to playing behind dominant Oline that kept him clean against weakest Ds in country. Good arm, but underthrew a lot of wide open guys on busted coverage.
His physical talent has a definite ceiling in NFL.
Behind a good Oline he may catch up to speed and be a better QB... but i dont think he has the intellect to ever be a Drew Brees.
