Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

Freddie Kitchens led the Giants offense to 3 points total from their first 3 red zone trips vs the Browns. Sounds about right.

Noted it was Freddie running Jason Garrett's offense, but I saw more pre-snap motion in one game than all season last year. Give Colt credit for being a vet than understands how to get the offense in the right play even if he doesn't have the arm to make a suspect defense pay. Pretty sure Colt will end up being a better coach than Freddie ever will.

Looking at the playoff picture it looks like the Browns need to win out to keep the 5 seed and get the first round matchup with the Titans. On the bright side if the Steelers beat the Bengals tonight I think they lock up the North so they might rest Ben against Cleveland and maybe even Indy. Need to keep the Ravens in the 6th or 7th playoff spot. Best case for the Browns would be a first round matchup with the Titans with the Ravens beating the Steelers or Bills to earn a matchup with the Chiefs in the second round. The Browns probably lock up a playoff spot with a win against the Jets next week, but I don't think they are in a position to rest anyone going into the playoffs. Need to go balls to the wall until it's over.

Steelers issue with Indy is, if you mail it in against Indy, you increase the chances of having to play them again (and I think the Titans still have Green Bay), but yeah, the Ravens aren't losing again... so yeah, win Vs Jets, they're in but the margin between 5 & 7 is negligible.

If you told me at the beginning they'd be 9-7 mostly by just cleaning up dumb shit and I think we all felt like the NFC East/AFC South matchups were gonna be reasonably soft (not sweep them soft but, over .500) but that got them 3rd in the North and missed the playoffs, I'd be like, yep, sounds about right.

If you told me 10-4 with the Jets (who suck) and the Steelers (may not need the game) to go, I probably wouldn't have believed that. (though I would have completely believed 11-5 might still get you 3rd in the Division)
