Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

Best head coach in waiting in the NFL won his game the other night after his rookie RB pounded BoB into the ground.

Why Cleveland isn't calling Eric Biennemy right now is beyond me.
The same was said of Stefanski last season. Big difference between being a OC and a HC. Saleh from San Francisco was also a big name. Reid runs the show at Kansas City so I am not sure how much play calling Biennemy even does but I do not think it is much. We shall see when he gets a big-time gig.

Can we see if the Texans will overpay for OBJ? Baker keeps trying to force the ball to him rather than running the ball and finding the open receiver. Have to keep this defense off the field.

Things are never as good or bad as they look the first game so we'll see how they do Thursday. Hopefully none of the injuries are that bad.

The best Baker ever looked was late in his rookie season - that last game in Baltimore almost knocked the Ravens out of the playoffs.

Still say they should've made Gregg Williams the head coach (he was interim then), left Kitchens as OC, and not made the trade for OBJ. Instead Williams goes to NY, Kitchens gets promoted over his pay grade, OBJ comes in and now you feel compelled to get him the ball. It's been downhill ever since. Now you bring in a new guy with a new offense and get limited time to work because Covid.

Good luck.

Kitchens would not have stayed if Williams was named as the HC

Fine, then keep the adult who has actually been a head coach. Where's fat Freddie now?

And I still say OBJ was subtraction by addition, especially for a young QB who will feel pressure to get him the ball. Divas are fine for veteran QBs but they're a nuisance for young ones.

It was the first game against one of the best teams in the league. You guys would've fired Bill Belichick if he coached the Browns.

We wouldn't have had to have fired Belechick because he would have bugged Lamar Jackson's helmet communication, had a spotter looking for signals on the Ravens sideline, and greased the palms of some random equipment boy somewhere - all just to get a competitive advantage.

Freddie is the TE coach for the New York football Giants. I just think Williams would have rubbed the team the wrong way but I guess we will never know. However, he does not have a HC job so there is that.

I agree regarding OBJ. He is bad for the team.

Njoku was the best thing I saw in that game yesterday (and maybe Chubb's explosiveness down the sideline) and he's out for 3-4 with an injury? Another long, miserable year as a Browns fan. Well, although it's ugly, at least they're playing.

This was the worst possible situation for a new HC to come in. I'll give Stefanski the first half of the season to see improvement before I pass judgement. I would love to find a taker for OBJ. I'm pretty sure the Browns would be better without him.
They never, ever, never, ever never ever never should have thought bringing him in was a good idea. Guy who craves, even needs, the spotlight of NYC coming to a small midwestern market where we struggle to win and are more punchline than Sportscenter highlight. It’s just a bad fit, and that’s before the QB became Cade McNown, seemingly overnight.
