Hard pass. LB's and S's are value specific to midrounds via most analytic approach. So if it's a LB or S, that'll be a day 2 pick.

Yeah, I'm just trying to think if they do trade down, who else they might draft than Cleveland or Jackson.. that's all, as I said I don't see it being a S or LB for the reasons you say... EDGE? Then you can dump a certain contract, use the trade down asset to get Williams and draft OL later to develop. I'm not super keen on the idea of taking a Utah State kid and needing him to play day 1.

If it's a trade down, I might be able to see Gross-Matos from Penn State? But outside of Chase, ER really doesn't thrill me this draft. Some late round potential like I've mentioned before though (Highsmith and/or Zuniga) I guess I could also see a linebacker in a trade down - Kenneth Murray. Then target Matt Peart and Muti as a combo day 2 OL would be a pretty solid start to addressing needs + talent. There are a bunch of ways this draft could go, but it hangs on a deal made with Washington in the next 4 hours. If that happens? I would all be guarantee a trade down. If not? Then the Browns draft will go as Andrew Thomas does.

We had other guys that could play wherever you needed them and be equally good. I agree that Thomas is my first choice, but I don't have an issue Wills or Wirfs if he's gone. In a perfect draft Wirfs and Becton go before the Browns so they have their choice between Thomas and Wills. If for some reason Becton is the only one of the 4 left for the Browns I'd look to trade back unless one of the can't miss defenders drops. Noted I haven't watched any film on any of these guys so I'm just digesting other people's reviews.

Well, I honestly don't expect either Wirfs or Wills to be there, I guess. Giants have a big hole at RT, so you'd think there's one gone. Between something weird happening with the Dolphins... the Cardinals have a need and the Jets only need to move 2 spots to get to the 9.

Anyway, my guess is he's there,browns take him and there you go.
