The Buccaneers absolutely sucked at tackling today, and Baker Mayfield was ass as he tends to be sometimes. Tampa should never have given him more than a 1-year deal. I had assumed this game was going to be a loss, but Tampa lost it more than Cleveland won. Tampa had 5.5 yards per carry and Cleveland had just 1.9 yards per carry - it's hard to lose in the NFL with those numbers.

I would say that it's very plausible for Haslam to still get well over $20M from Watson's insurance policy this season if he goes on IR before the 5th week of the season.

I never said Haslam made good football decisions, but I do think he's corrupt enough to possibly be pushing for exactly what I said. If it makes little difference who starts, of course you start the guy who you can put on IR and recoup tens of millions of dollars from insurance.

Dillon Gabriel already had a phantom back injury to go on IR, so they are just waiting for something to justify putting Watson on there. Maybe a hang nail, maybe he slips and falls in the shower, who knows.

I actually think the Browns could contend for the playoffs this season. The schedule is so easy, they only have like 3 games the rest of the season that are against teams that made the playoffs last year, and none of those teams went far. The offensive line still looks like crap but the receiving corps is much improved.
