Browns starting linebacker Jordan Hicks is retiring after 10 seasons in the NFL, he announced on Instagram on Friday morning.

When I saw this angle/version it looked like it was staged. I guess the whole thing was. I kind of wish they hadn't revealed it was all planned as something like this happening in Cleveland would have been perfectly on brand.

Sources: Browns QB Pickett has hamstring injury

Just sayin': Why would the browns "set someone up to fail"? If they wanted him to fail why would they have ever wasted a draft pick on him?

A 5th round pick doesn't get many opportunities so you have to take them when you get them. If he's as good as all the talking heads thought he was before the draft, he'll go out there and play well to earn more opportunities. If he goes out there and looks like an overmatched 5th-round pick, we have some questions answered. Sanders and Gabriel have this season to prove they are the QB of the future or the Browns are making a move in the next draft. As much as I really didn't want the Browns to pick him in the first round I hope he is the guy so they can use the picks next year on upgrades like Downs. 4 years of a 5th round starting QB contract would be fantastic for the rebuild.
