Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

Watson's cap hit each of the next 3 years is $64 million. Amari Cooper's hit next year is $23 million, and Chubb's is $16 million.

Oh, and Myles Garrett's cap hit next 3 year's cap hits are $20, 34, and 35 million.

Good luck making all of that work.

Cap can be manipulated with converting salaries to signing bonuses. Look at what the saints have done for a long time now. Browns did it this past offseason and as long as ole Jimmy is willing to fork over the cash they will be able to stay competitive roster-wise.

The one contract that can't currently be manipulated in that manner is the biggest one - Watson's. They would have to add years because the salary in each year is fully guaranteed, as it stands now. Is that an investment worth making?

Only if the extra years aren't guaranteed, but then that equals a huge dead money hit if/when he leaves.
